Cake Mix Yellow Cake


  • 4 ½ cups homemade cake mix
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs


  • Preheat the oven to 325º degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add the cake mix, vanilla, whole milk, and eggs into a large bowl.
  • Mix in the stand mixer using the whisk attachment on low until batter is fully combined.
  • Pour in two greased and floured 8 inch cake pans. Bake at 325º for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool and turn out onto wire racks to finish cooling.
  • Frost with your choice of buttercream and store in an airtight container in the fridge. In order to freeze, wrap cake in plastic wrap and place in an airtight container.
