Flourless Chocolate Loaf Cake


  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup creamy almond butter
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar OR ¼ cup powdered stevia or erythritol for keto-friendly
  • dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate optional
  • flaky salt optional


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a 4×8-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Add the eggs, baking soda, almond butter, and cocoa powder to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and completely mix, scrape down the sides as needed. Batter will be thick.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and spread out evenly.
  • Top with chocolate chips if desired, or ½ cup of chocolate chips can be folded into the batter. Can also top with flaky salt before baking if desired.
  • Bake for 27 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean when inserted into the center.
