A quick and full of flavour one-skillet dish that is ready in twenty minutes! Tender, juicy chicken smothered in a creamy garlic parmesan cream sauce and best served with pasta and veggies. I bet you will not only love the taste of this mouthwatering dish but enjoy the smell too of the fragrant garlic while cooking.
4 small-medium chicken breasts or 2 large halved
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsps olive oil
3-4 cloves garlic minced
1 c light cream or half & half, or heavy cream
1 tbsp Italian seasoning or oregano
1/2 c parmesan cheese grated
1 c spinach chopped (optional)
How to make Creamy Parmesan Garlic Chicken:
Step 1: In a large heavy skillet or pan, heat oil.
Step 2: Meanwhile, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Once the oil is hot, add and cook the chicken breasts for about 5 to 6 minutes on both sides until golden and cooked through. Note that cooking time depends on the thickness of the chicken breasts you are using.
Step 4: When done cooking the chicken breasts, remove them from the pan.
Step 5: Adjust the heat to low-medium and saute the garlic for about 30 seconds.
Step 6: Then, add into the pan the half and half or cream, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Stir until incorporated.
Step 7: If desired, you can add and stir a cup of chopped spinach at this time and continue to simmer for 2 to 3 minutes more.
Step 8: Place the chicken breasts back into the pan and simmer for a minute more before turning off the heat.
Step 9: Coat the chicken with the sauce using a spoon.
Step 10: Serve with veggies or pasta. Enjoy!
